2015 Canada Red-Tailed Hawk 1 oz Silver Coin (With Capsule)
The 2015 1 oz Silver Red-Tailed Hawk is the third release in the Royal Canadian Mint’s Birds of Prey series. Each coin contains 1 ounce of .9999 fine silver and carries a $5 denomination. The silver Red-Tailed Hawk is the penultimate release in the Royal Canadian Mint’s four coin Birds of Prey series. Like the other silver coins in this series, the Red-Tailed Hawk is intricately sculpted to capture the beauty of this bird in flight. And like the previous coins in this series, world wide mintage is limited to 1,000,000.
The reverse of this silver coin features a red-tailed hawk diving toward its prey. The design – sculpted by Emily Damstra -- is surrounded by the inscriptions “CANADA, 9999” and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”. The obverse of the coin carries Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. “ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS” and “2015” are inscribed around the profile of Queen Elizabeth.
