Few products appeal to precious metal investors more than silver bars in popular weights such as 1 oz and 10 oz, especially when produced by a renowned brand with over 150 years of expertise in precious metals refining.
The obverse of the bar showcases the original Johnson Matthey logo, including the “JM” initials alongside the hammer and pickaxe symbol. Additional engravings include the company name, silver purity, metal content, and bar weight. Each bar also carries a unique serial number engraved at the bottom.
The reverse side features a repeating Johnson Matthey logo pattern arranged at a 45-degree angle across the surface of the bar.
Johnson Matthey was established in London, England in 1817 by Percival Norton Johnson as a gold assayer’s business. The company later became Johnson Matthey after George Matthey joined the firm in 1851. In 1852, the company was officially recognized as an Assayer and Refiner to the Bank of England.
