Inspired by Australia’s most iconic animal, this 2020 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo Perth Mint Coin is the newest release in the popular Perth Mint’s kangaroo bullion program. The program was first introduced in 2016 and 1 oz Silver Kangaroo coins have become one of the best-sellers since. Kangaroos are one of the most recognizable native Australian animals and are the largest marsupials on Earth.
Like the previous releases in the program, this 2020 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo Coin is beautifully executed in .9999 silver. The reverse features an image of the red kangaroo against rays of the sun. The center design is surrounded by the inscriptions “Australian Kangaroo”, year of issue, weight, and purity of the coin. The word Australian includes a special security feature, a micro-engraved letter “A” inside its first letter. The obverse features the right-profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with the coin denomination.
