2019 Canada Moose 1 oz 99999 Gold Coin
The Royal Canadian Mint’s Call of the Wild Gold Coin series was launched in 2014. One design is released each year with a different reverse, featuring the roar or call of a wild animal that roams the untamed wilderness of Canada.
The reverse features the majestic Canadian Moose. The moose has mighty antlers that shed and regrow each year. These antlers seem to come off the coin as the moose points his head and mouth to the sky. Males, called bulls, can weigh between 600 and 1500 kilograms. However, moose are a gentle creature with a determined spirit. This makes the moose a perfect symbol of the Canadian people and the vast wilderness. Moose live in the many forests throughout Canada-from Alaska to Newfoundland. Additionally, there are inscriptions “CANADA,” “FINE GOLD 99999” and “1 OZ OR PUR.”
The obverse features Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. It also includes the face value and the year of coinage.
The Call of Wild series by the Royal Canadian Mint started in 2014 with the Howling Wolf. It also includes the 2015 Growling Cougar; the 2016 Roaring Grizzly Bear; the 2017 Elk; and the 2018 Eagle. The entire series features beautiful .99999 gold. This is truly a first in the gold bullion world.
