2009 Perth Mint Lunar Ox 1 oz Silver Coin (With Capsule)
In 2009, the popular Australian Lunar coin series celebrates the Year of the Ox. The reverse of each coin depicts an ox and a calf standing on grass with hills in the background. As well as the inscription ‘Year of the Ox’ and the Chinese character for ‘ox’, the design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse. All Perth Mint Lunar series comes with original protective capsule.
