The Simpsons first aired as a half-hour television series in 1989. Now in its 30th season, it is the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history. The Simpsons has won 33 Emmy Awards, 34 Annie Awards, a 2017 People's Choice Award and was the first animated series to win a Peabody Award. The show was nominated for an Academy Award in 2012 for the theatrical short The Longest Daycare. The Simpsons is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, and Al Jean are the executive producers.
This coin has the centre stamped out for a true donut design. The coin’s reverse depicts Homer’s iconic pink-frosted donut with sprinkles. The design also includes Matt Groening’s signature and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, each coin is housed in a clear acrylic case with a hole in the centre and comes in a themed shipper.
