2017 Perth Mint Rooster Wealth / Wisdom 1 oz Silver Proof Coin

2017 is the year of the Rooster, the tenth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.

These unique coloured designs make this a beautiful collector’s items and great gift for a those born in the Year of the Rooster.

Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.

Signifying wealth and prosperity the wealth coin depicts a representation of a rooster standing atop a stack of coins and holding a string of bronze ‘cash’ coins. The background features a representation of the Terracotta Army. The inscriptions WEALTH and 2017 YEAR OF THE ROOSTER also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

Signifying age and wisdom the wisdom coin depicts a representation of an aged rooster in a Chinese water garden sitting on a scholar’s rock. The inscriptions WISDOM and 2017 YEAR OF THE ROOSTER also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmage.

Each coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on its obverse.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the Lunar Good Fortune Series – Wealth and Wisdom 2017 Silver Two-Coin Set.

Each set is housed in a classic Perth Mint display case with a colourful illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
