2026 Royal Australian Mint Lunar Horse 1 oz Silver Coin
The Chinese zodiac follows a twelve-year cycle, with each year represented by a specific animal and its associated traits. In 2026, Lunar New Year falls on 17 February and marks the beginning of the Year of the Horse—the seventh animal in the zodiac cycle.
To celebrate the occasion, the Royal Australian Mint has launched its Lunar Investment Series. In line with tradition, coins are often given as gifts during Lunar New Year, and the Mint is proud to present these specially crafted coins for the celebration.
According to Chinese element theory, each zodiac sign is also linked to one of the five elements. The year 2026 is associated with the Fire Horse, a sign known for passion, energy, independence, creativity, and artistic flair. These coins are expected to appeal to both precious metal investors and entry-level collectors across domestic and international markets.
